Meet the team...

Vicar / Lead Pastor Rev Pete Jackson

Pete is married to Sharon and they have three children. They moved to Kendray in 2007. Before becoming a vicar Pete was a graphic designer in London. He has worked for churches in Newcastle and Lowestoft. He loves being able to share the great news of Jesus with the people of Kendray.

Assistant Pastor Jonny Parker

Jonny was born and grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne... but despite that is a big Man Utd fan. He enjoys playing football, hanging out with friends, being a dad, and being married to Ruth (though not necessarily in that order!)

Church Warden Andy Mills

Andy is married to Meera and is originally from Northern Ireland. He supports Liverpool FC, and is a local GP. He has been a member of St Andrew’s since 2010 and became church warden in 2014.

Children’s Pastor Holly Newbould

Holly is originally from Sheffield, but before moving to Kendray she was sharing the good news of Jesus with children and teenagers at a church in North London. Holly loves pizza, giraffes, and Harry Potter, and has recently joined a local netball team.

Youth Pastor Sian Pearson

Sian is originally from near Hull, but has worked in Rotherham with young people and for a church in Sheffield where she helped with the youth work. She is married to Curtis. They met while playing Pokemon-Go in Barnsley (she was looking for Pokemon, but found a husband!)

Church Warden Peter Thompson

Peter is married to Carol. They have two sons, a daughter, and five grandchildren. When he’s not fixing something at St Andrew’s, Peter likes to walk in Scotland and spot all kinds of wildlife - especially otters!

At St Andrew’s we believe in every member ministry, so really every  member of the church is part of the team! Below are some people who work at St Andrew’s or who have a formal role. If you visit, any of them would be very happy to talk with you about anything that goes on there.

Ministry Intern Keeley Wharam

Keeley has lived in Kendray all her life. She lives with her mum and dad and two brothers. She is a qualified nursery assistant, and has been coming to St Andrew’s since she was a child. She became a Christian as a teenager.
