Meet the team...

Vicar / Lead Pastor Rev Pete Jackson

Pete is married to Sharon and they have two children, Ben and Rosie. They moved to Kendray in 2007. Before vicar-training at Oak Hill College, Pete was a graphic designer in London. He has worked for churches in Newcastle and Lowestoft.

Women & Children’s Pastor Ruth Parker

Ruth is originally from Wolverhampton and amongst other things has been a barmaid, actress, and school cleaner. Before moving to Kendray in 2010, Ruth lived in Dagenham where she worked for a church. She is married to Jonny.

Volunteer Pastor (Women) Meera Mills

Meera is married to Andy. They moved to Barnsley in 2010. Before that Meera worked for churches in London and Cambridge. She helps to run a youth camp for young people in the Lake District.

Youth Pastor Sam Crossley

Sam was born and brought up in Devon. He is married to Hilary who is from Glasgow. They have two children, Fraser and Iona, and a mad dog called Juno. Sam enjoys playing football, and claims that he is getting better at darts - though the holes in his kitchen wall tell a different story!

Assistant Pastor Jonny Parker

Jonny was born and grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne... but despite that is a big Man Utd fan. He enjoys playing football, hanging out with friends and being married to Ruth (though not necessarily in that order!)

Ministry Trainee Zacc Salisbury

Zacc grew up in Stockport... studied maths at Sheffield University and supports Man City. He enjoys playing football and eating vast amounts of food. Since working at St Andrew’s he has found a new talent for stacking chairs.

Volunteer Pastor (Youth) Sian Farthing

Sian is originally from near Hull, but has worked in Rotherham with young people and for a church in Sheffield where she helped with the youth work. She is terrible at sport but likes making stuff... food, craft and mess!

At St Andrew’s we believe in every member ministry, so really every member of the church is part of the team! Below are some people who work at St Andrew’s or who have a formal role. If you visit, any of them would be very happy to talk with you about anything that goes on there.

Church Warden Andy Mills

Andy is married to Meera and is originally from Northern Ireland. He supports Liverpool FC, and is a local GP. He has been a member of St Andrew’s since 2010 and became church warden in 2014.

Church Warden Alice Wilson

Alice was church warden at St Andrew’s from 1995-2000, and was elected again in April 2008. She has a daughter, Vicky and two sons, Gary and Richard.
